We are seeking a highly skilled UX/UI Designer to join our team. This role focuses on user experience and interface design for various web-based projects, ensuring the delivery of engaging and intuitive designs that meet client goals. Responsibilities include user flow studies, wireframing, creating interface designs, and developing graphic assets. The ideal candidate will also maintain design consistency, conduct user research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

This is a remote position where you will be working 38 to 40 hours on weekdays, with very occasional weekend and overtime work.

Where You’ll Fit In: As a UX/UI Designer, you will work on diverse web-based projects, including e-commerce sites, corporate websites, landing pages, and microsites. Your responsibilities will include creating user flows, wireframes, and user-friendly interface designs, as well as graphic design tasks such as banner ads, icons, and social media graphics. In addition to collaborating with the art director and project teams, you will present designs to internal teams and clients, ensuring adherence to branding and client goals. Staying updated on design trends and tools, conducting usability testing, and ensuring compatibility with platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Elementor, and Webflow are essential aspects of the role.

Essential Duties

  • Design user-friendly interfaces for websites, landing pages, and email templates.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to guide web development.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to optimize design effectiveness.
  • Develop graphic assets, including banner ads, icons, and social media visuals.
  • Maintain design consistency across all projects, adhering to branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the art director and project managers on various design tasks.
  • Present design concepts to internal teams and clients, ensuring clear communication.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and tools to implement innovative design solutions.
  • Ensure designs align with platforms such as WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, and Webflow.

Our work weeks typically range between 38 and 40 hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime. We use a timer to track our work hours, which is crucial for client billing, setting pricing, and reviewing job profitability. This process is mandatory at Connective.

Education, Skills, and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Direct experience in a client-facing role.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and team collaboration software (e.g., Asana).
  • Demonstrated project management experience across several client projects and campaigns.
  • Expertise in design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
  • Knowledge of web platforms such as WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, and Webflow.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design and graphic design work.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects while ensuring consistency and quality.
