We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Paid Search Manager to lead paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Bing. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge of paid search strategies, a strong grasp of analytics and optimization techniques, and the ability to manage multiple clients across diverse industries. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on campaign management to deliver measurable growth for our clients.

This is a remote position where you will be working 38 to 40 hours on weekdays, with very occasional weekend and overtime work.

Where You’ll Fit In: As a Paid Search Manager, you will develop and execute paid advertising strategies to meet client goals, whether for lead generation or e-commerce growth. You will collaborate with clients, account managers, and junior paid search specialists to optimize campaigns and drive results. Your responsibilities will include keyword research, ad copy creation, conversion rate optimization, and performance reporting. A strong understanding of data analysis, bid strategies, and Google Tag Manager will be essential for success in this role.

Essential Duties

  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Bing.
  • Develop marketing strategies tailored to client goals and objectives.
  • Conduct detailed keyword research and implement effective bid strategies.
  • Write compelling and conversion-focused ad copy.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns for conversion rate improvements and ROI.
    Set up new accounts, including Google Tag Manager integrations, and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Conduct experiments and split tests to refine campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with account managers and junior paid search specialists to streamline workflows.
  • Provide detailed reports to clients, substantiating campaign performance and insights.
  • Leverage analytics platforms, including Google Analytics and native tools, for data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain strong business acumen and communicate effectively with clients about strategies and outcomes.

Our work weeks typically range between 38 and 40 hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime. We use a timer to track our work hours, which is crucial for client billing, setting pricing, and reviewing job profitability. This process is mandatory at Connective.

Education, Skills, and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing paid search campaigns on Google Ads and Bing.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization and split testing.
  • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and native analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional ability to write effective ad copy.
  • Demonstrated experience with lead generation and e-commerce campaigns.
  • Business acumen to discuss strategies and outcomes with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Experience mentoring junior specialists.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and setting up scalable processes.
  • Track record of delivering measurable results through data-driven strategies.
