We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to produce compelling video content for Connective and its clients. This role involves crafting visually engaging stories across a range of formats, including social media content, YouTube videos, and commercials. The ideal candidate will have expert-level technical skills, a strong understanding of storytelling, and a sharp eye for design and branding.
This is a remote position where you will be working 38 to 40 hours on weekdays, with very occasional weekend and overtime work.

Where You’ll Fit In: As a Video Editor, you will create high-quality video content aligned with client goals and brand guidelines. Your responsibilities will range from editing social media videos to producing polished commercial projects. You will use your expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects to craft visually compelling content, incorporating motion graphics, color grading, sound design, and multi-camera editing. Additionally, you will mentor junior video editors and develop repeatable processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Essential Duties
- Edit a variety of video content, including social media clips, YouTube videos, and commercials.
- Stay updated on video editing trends across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Use Adobe Premiere and After Effects to create visually compelling and on-brand video content.
- Perform color correction, color grading, and audio editing, including sound effects and music selection.
- Develop narratives by combining footage into cohesive stories that engage viewers.
- Create motion graphics and animated content for non-live-action projects.
- Work efficiently on low-budget projects while maintaining quality, and deliver high-end commercial edits when required.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and aesthetic standards.
- Manage multi-camera editing workflows.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to junior video editors to maintain quality control.
- Create and maintain repeatable processes for video production to improve efficiency.
- Stay within assigned budgets and manage internal project budgets effectively.

Our work weeks typically range between 38 and 40 hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime. We use a timer to track our work hours, which is crucial for client billing, setting pricing, and reviewing job profitability. This process is mandatory at Connective.

Education, Skills, and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Proven experience in color correction, color grading, and audio editing.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Knowledge of multi-camera editing workflows.
- Experience creating motion graphics for video content.
- Familiarity with social media trends and platform-specific video requirements.
- Experience mentoring junior video editors.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and stay within budget constraints.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sound design and selecting appropriate stock audio for projects.
